GOD’S EYES
He Sees What’s Next

2 Kings 6:17
‘Then Elisha prayed and said, O Lord , please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.‘

It’s tempting to believe that our fears are predictors of what will come next. Elisha’s servant was afraid because he had yet to receive God’s vision for what was actually going on around them. When Elisha cried out to God for the eyes of his servant to be opened, a clear vision of what was happening completely changed his perspective and expectancy level for the future. He learned that the only predictor of what comes next is God’s eyes.

As we continue to intercede for our community this week, let’s pray:

  • For a culture steeped in fear and anxiety to have their eyes opened so they can be set free by a clear path toward righteousness.
  • For God to open our eyes. Only He has a plan for transforming the lives of our neighbors. Nothing is more important than our church gaining God’s eyes for the world around us.
  • As we look for bigger space to meet as a church, there is no more important value than having God’s vision. We want to forge ahead with certainty about how He will position us.
  • Let’s seek clarity by asking God to give us all His eyes!
