PEACE
Struggles come, but Christ overcomes

John 16:33 ESV

‘I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”’

You live in a world filled with the tension produced by darkness. But just because you have tension in your life, doesn’t mean that the tension should have you. Though the enemy seeks to destroy you, Jesus says in John 16:33, He has already overcome the one who hunts for your soul. Peace is not a destination you will reach once darkness no longer pursues you. God’s mercies are new each morning, and though struggle comes, it will never overcome the one who abides in Him.

Because of His peace, trials will produce steadfastness instead of a heart which wavers in the tensions of this world.

This week as you pray:

  • Seek God’s peace for our church to be steadfast in all seasons.
  • Ask God to make us aware of His constant care and mercy as we walk the path He chooses for us.
  • Pray for those who have yet to discover His supernatural peace. May those trying to fight battles without God, come to know His peace.
  • Pray for the students in our community preparing to start school. May God’s peace comfort them.
  • Pray that God’s peace which passes all understanding will invade our community.
