CONSECRATE THE GROUND
Be Ready for The Wonder
Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” – Joshua 3:5 ESV
It’s great to ask God for big things. But, have you ever done that and discovered your heart wasn’t ready for what you hoped He would do? Beyond that, was your heart even in step with God’s plan?
In Joshua 3:5, Joshua delivered a Word from God that would finally deliver the Israelites into the Promised Land. They spent decades trying to reach Canaan by fighting the battle between wanting what only God could deliver, while doing it in a way that would satisfy their flesh. They wanted God’s blessing without being a blessing to God. But now, their hearts were ready for the wonder of God’s goodness, because God’s goodness had done wonders in their hearts.
As we begin an incredible journey of prayer walking our community, ask God to prepare your heart for His plans. He has great things in mind for the thousands of people all around us. Consecrate your heart in anticipation for what He is about to do through you and our church.
Let’s believe that as His plan unfolds, our hearts will be ready for the incredible blessings ahead, and the ground we walk over these next four weeks will be set apart for His glory!
