Thy Kingdom Come
Matthew 6:10
‘ Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’
Your greatest struggle rests in the tension between your will and God’s will. As much as you don’t like it when tough circumstances come, the truth is, those tough times serve as an indicator of where you put your trust under pressure.
The passage above is a prayer that reveals a heart which seeks the mind of God for every part of life. It’s not just a cry for God’s help. It’s a declaration that as children of God, the promises of heaven are not a distant destination, but a reality that God’s blessings can be found in the path we walk today.
As you pray over your life and our community this week, lets ask God to:
- Grant the blessings of heaven in a world where darkness tries to flourish.
- Transform lives from worldly casualties to kingdom warriors.
- Shift our desires to reflect His heart.
- Make himself known in the midst of difficult circumstances.
